久米島に分布するヤマタカマイマイ類です。樹林に生息しており、主に樹上で活動します。殻の色には変異がありますが、オキナワヤマタカマイマイに比べると変異のパターンは少ないようです。大きさはオキナワヤマタカマイマイと同じような大きさで、殻径は25mmほどでした。

Satsuma omoro is distributed in the Kume Island. Diameter of the shell is about 25mm. The main habitat of this snail is forest.
