スズメは留鳥として日本全国に分布しています。誰もが知っている最もポピュラーな野鳥です。全長14cm。人家周辺や農耕地、畜舎周辺などで良く見かけます。市街地にも生息しています。身近な野鳥の代表ですが、全国的に減少いるとの発表がありました。
