シマアジは、全長38cm、コガモとほぼ同じ大きさです。県内では旅鳥として、主に渡りの時季に見られます。あまり多くありません。雄の夏羽では、白く太い眉斑が特徴的です。水田、溜め池、干潟など水辺でみられます。
