クロツラヘラサギ　（ペリカン目トキ科）　Platalea minor 英名 (English name)　Black-faced Spoonbill

クロツラヘラサギは大型の鳥です。全長77cm。くちばしの先端がヘラ状の形をしています。世界で1000個体前後しか生息していません。朝鮮半島で繁殖し、沖縄では毎年漫湖や那覇空港周辺で越冬しています。干潟、池などに生息します。くちばしを水中に入れ、首を振りながら餌を探す姿が面白いです。

The total length of the Black-faced Spoonbill is about 77cm. It will come across as a winter bird to Okinawa. They inhabit the waterside. It's an endangered bird. The bird’s population is estimated to be about 1,000.
