コグンカンドリは全長80cmほどある大型の鳥です。海岸などに迷鳥として渡来します。写真の個体はやんばるの海岸で台風接近時に撮影したものです。グライダーのようにゆったりと飛んでいました。

The Lesser Frigatebird is a large bird, about 80cm in length. It migrates to coasts and other places as a stray bird. The individual in the photo was taken on a coast in Yanbaru when a typhoon was approaching. It was flying leisurely like a glider.
